What style did Filippo Brunelleschi use?
answers1: He may have employed aspects of each, so there may not be a
simple answer. Artists frequently begin their careers imitating
previous masters and go on to develop unique styles. He was
renaissance, but the Italian renaissance drew heavily on the classic
styles of Greece and Rome. <br>
<br>
I doubt if he embodies much of the Gothic. To answer your question you
would have to analyze different aspects of his work and understand the
roots of same.

soft style or hard style?
answers1: Saying karate doesn't use physics principles shows how
little you know. <br>
<br>
There are hard and soft styles of both Kung Fu and Karate. <br>
<br>
So then since your original premise is wrong, your question is flawed. <br>
<br>
If you had two equivalent fighters, they'd be the same skill level,
not length of training, so then it'd go either way. <br>
<br>
Please educate yourself before pursuing shallow questions.
answers2: There is no such thing as a style that is 100% soft or hard.
If you take slipping,bobbing and weaving in boxing combined with
punches it becomes soft & hard. If an advance aikido practioner goes
against a tight precise punching expert, he will have to use clashing
angles and slapping techniques to intercept the strikes with tighter
circular techniques. In contrast a beginner learns long angles & large
circles that is an example of starting a soft/soft art and learning to
apply hard/soft. What many people don't know is that Aikido started in
a Chinese system known as paqua that teaches both the large circle and
small circle method. <br>
A complete fighter always works towards their opposing energy.
(Soft/hard),(hard/soft). As one ages it is the precision of both in
application that preserves skill.
answers3: souly depends on your motives, and what you wish to accomplish. <br>
<br>
kungfu is more "complex" than karate is for sure tho
answers4: kung fu work much better, at least health will get better
than karate guy for sure because Chinese kungfu also is a chinese
medic based exercise as well. Karate get you very stiff.
answers5: A long sword is no more effective than a hammer if the
swordsman have no idea on how to use it. <br>
<br>
I like kyokushin karate "the hardest karate"
answers6: Hard styles have soft parts and vice versa
answers7: The better fighter will win if there is a fight. There are
no equal practitioners. There will always be someone better, but there
is no better style. You as an individual may prefer a particular
style.
answers8: Ironically most styles of Karate have been heavily
influenced by styles of Kung Fu, especially White Crane Kung Fu. <br>
<br>
Personally I love the hard styles more. I like intensity,
explosiveness, and just beating the crap out of something. If I do
that too much though then it takes a toll on my body. To counter it I
practice soft styles such as Tai Chi, which help ease my muscles and
relax my mind while still focusing on martial aspects. Then I also
practice Japanese Jujitsu which is another external style. To counter
that I practice Qigong and study medicine. <br>
<br>
Just so you know, a lot of Kung Fu styles are external (just like
Karate). Hung Gar, Shaolin Long Fist, and Wing Chun to name a few.
There are even some styles of Karate that are internal. <br>
<br>
Who would win between hard and soft? The better practitioner. Yes, I
know you said two equivalent practitioners, but that typically means a
guy that practiced an internal art for 10 years vs a guy who practiced
boxing for 2 years. If they are equivalent then no one will win, it
would be a draw. Soft styles typically take longer to learn while hard
styles grow ineffective once the body decays to a certain amount.

Why do we value physical beauty so highly?
answers1: Brain. If by brain you mean intelligence, then is clearly
the better choice because beauty is useless, and fades with age, while
intelligence is present forever. Also, intelligence gives you a better
shot at life, and making a difference. If by brain you mean having a
literal brain, then brain is obviously the better choice as you would
be nothing but a pretty corpse by choosing beauty over brain (in that
scenario.)
answers2: we're animals and are hard wired to be attracted to
beautiful things-and they is nothing wrong at all with that <br>
makes life worth living <br>
scientific studies have shown true physical beauty can be identified
by babies - universal - doesn't matter the language - doesn't matter
even if you can speak. research it and check out these studies <br>
people can be conditioned though - by cultural differences - but at
the end of the day - a rose will still be that <br>
physical and inner attractiveness can coexist - and often does <br>
it's the wanna be's that usually think they're all that, and feel the
need to be arrogant to compensate
answers3: It is not human nature to value physical beauty to the
extent that we do today. If it was, then there would be a universal
expectation, for example, no matter where you live in the world, it is
beautiful to be skinny. This is false, though. Many countries find
being heavy extremely attractive. <br>
<br>
During the Renaissance, women plucked their hair above their forehead
because it was viewed as beautiful. They also used lead-based make-up.
<br>
<br>
Physical beauty has been socialized to be an incredibly valuable tool
because it is very beneficial to those that set the standards. <br>
<br>
1. Want to be pretty?- Buy our make-up <br>
2. Have acne?- Buy our product <br>
3. Think you're fat?- Let us give you liposuction <br>

What is your definition of Beauty?? From your Perspective?
answers1: Beauty to me is something constantly shifting, although all
the beautiful women I know have these things in common: intelligent
and educated, classy and polite, funny and quite honestly attractive.
answers2: You're beautiful.
answers3: Beauty resides in our actions, not in our appearance. We
have great examples of that "Gandhi; Mother Teresa", etc.

What is your opinion on beauty?
answers1: There's different kinds of beauty. <br>
<br>
You've got your beauty of mind, physical beauty, beauty of
relationships, on and on and on.... <br>
<br>
Society in general values erotic female beauty above all else. <br>
<br>
Sex appeal permeates every marketing effort because there is a wide
market for it. <br>
<br>
Did you know that the porn industry made the Internet what it is today? <br>
<br>
Even in publishing if you are a young attractive, exotic female and
write about your sexual exploits your chances of getting published are
phenomenal simply because it sells. <br>
<br>
That is where society has its values ....

What to write for beauty expository essay?
answers1: Well what about beauty are you talking about? <br>
-the actual beauty product, the way it is advertised, beauty in general?? <br>
Take a stance: for or against or in between. What do you think of
beauty in general? Is it a good or bad thing? <br>
Good: build confidence, prettier, fun, creative, unique <br>
Bad: decreases confidence (I can't go without it), hide natural
beauty, conformity, time consuming. Notice how there are traits that
contradict each other when compared with both lists. (ex: build and
decrease confidence). This means there are at least 2 perspectives of
looking at beauty. Are they completely opposite? Maybe, maybe not?
<br>
-go on google, use databases and search beauty. Effects of beauty on
women, beauty articles. Quote authority figures, and use evidence to
support your claim. <br>
ex: oprah, Marilyn menroe, other celebrities are symbols of beauty <br>
-beauty is different all over the world, beauty over time, what beauty
means to each person, how beauty is not one specific thing and is
different to each individual are possible directions you can take with
this. <br>
-be specific, use details, and have your thesis make a claim. Your
essay is more than just about beauty. It has to be about one specific
aspect of beauty. (ex: I agree that the idea of beauty is different to
each person because beauty is in the eye of the beholder) <br>
-describe beauty various ways, use different dictionaries, quotes from
celebrities or people who support your claim. Describe beauty in
multiple ways and relate it all back to your main point. <br>
-if your topic is about one specific beauty item (ex: a certain
foundation) then the above advice still follows. <br>
-VERY IMPORTANT: there are different types of beauty. Not just makeup
wise. There could be mental beauty (having a good personality, being a
good person), beautiful sights and images, beautiful scenarios, a
feeling. (ex: when someone saves a baby from a burning house, that's
beautiful) So be sure to clarify what type of beauty you are talking
about, for whatever aspect you choose the above advice still follows.
answers2: My previous semester I had to subjects related to this issue
(Public Speaking and Writing for Academic Purposes) and I came to a
conclusion that open essays and narrative essays are the easiest to
write and get a high score. The reason why I am saying this is
subjectivity. I had written an essay about PREJUDICE (in our society)
and no one was able to "attack" me related to it afterwards, because
in the end, it is my own ideas, opinions and attitudes, values. I
think that not giving space the others to comment too much is an
advantage in this case. Of course, you have to present strong facts
but then, if they're subjective, they cannot deny them... I hope I
explained well what I meant by this. Good luck! :)

legs have to be fit to so your not uneven buff on top but toothpick
legs thats weird looking
answers3: i'm able to verify the reasoning in the back of this, yet i

extra resilient and would stand up to extra. that is advised that for
couples who prefer to conceive, the guy ought to swap to boxers if
he's not already donning them using fact it is going to help his sperm
count form. besides, considering lady sperm are extra resilient, they
are in a position to stand up to the hotter temps that effect from a
guy donning briefs. The male sperm die extra directly using fact they
are in a position to't stand up to the warmth. hence, while it comes
time to make a splash one, the female sperm are the only ones left. As
I mentioned, i know of many examples to diminish cost this, so I
understand that is not inevitably authentic. To extra advantageous the
"lady sperm stay longer" occasion I gave, that is been got here across

the different hand, IUIs (manmade inseminations) effect in extra boys
using fact the techniques are continuously completed as close to to

Our body/ spirit when we die ???
answers1: Because we will all have brand new bodies up there in <br>
heaven called spiritual bodies and these <br>
shells get left behind
answers2: Very good question. That is what the Resurrection is. When
Christ rose from the dead, His was pure and made like a post-
Resurrection body. When the end of the world, day of Justice, Judgment
Day comes, those that have loved and followed Jesus Christ will be
given incorruptible bodies. Any other questions give me an email. <br>

God Bless, <br>
Elisha
answers3: body is earthly, heaven is not the same as earthly realm
answers4: Suppose you're at the beach and you make a nice big fancy
sandcastle, complete with moat and turrets and so on. Later, the tide
comes in and washes it all away - the sand gets spread around the
beach and all trace of your sandcastle disappears. <br>
<br>
Where did it go? Well, clearly the castle didn't 'go' anywhere as
such - it was a temporary arrangement of grains of sand that went to
make up something recognisable to us, and when the sea washed it away,
it simply ceased to exist. Another day, someone else might come along
and make another castle using some of the same sand that went into
your castle, but the one you made is gone and can never exist again.
<br>
<br>
This is how it is with human beings - we are recognisable to ourselves
and others as living organisms, but fundamentally we are temporary
constructions of atoms and molecules and will one day simply cease to
exist. Just as the sandcastle consists solely of the sand from which
it is made, so human beings consist solely of the atoms and molecules
of which we are made. When we die, our bodies will be returned to the
environment to be incorporated into new living organisms, or to fall
as rain, or to make the bedrock of a million years from now. We are
ephemeral creatures, a brief pattern of order and complexity imposed
on the raw material of the natural world. We should make the most of
it, for this is all there is.
answers5: because our spirit are pure and the body is fless, that what
causes us to sin.
answers6: Christians bodies will be resurrected. But they will be
spiritual, glorified bodies just like Christ's.
answers7: A common philosophy believes that before life, there existed
the ideas. The idea of friendship, the idea of happiness, the idea of
liberty. These ideas were compaced together to make up the soul, or
the spirit of a human being. Therefore after you die, these ideas
leave your soul and are released into Earth again. This leads to what
is believed to be reincarnation. Just some to let you know facts.
answers8: Jesus' body could be risen to Heaven because he was perfect.
However, we aren't perfect because of the fall of Adam and Eve, and as
you know, nothing less than perfect may be allowed in Heaven.
Therefore, we will receive new, perfect bodies when God takes our
souls to Heaven.

Body’s defense mechanisms against infection.?
answers1: We have a primary level of defense designed to keep invaders
out. Skin, mucus membranes, etc., but if they happen to get in, we
then have our immune system (think T cells, B cells, etc) to try and
combat any bacterial or viral invaders.
answers2: + The body has three lines of defense: <br>
<br>
i) Physical (skin and mucous membranes) and chemical barriers that
prevent entry by pathogens, <br>
<br>
ii)Non- specific defensive cells (phagocytes, eosinophils, and natural
killer cells) and proteins (interferons and complement system),
inflammation and feve <br>
<br>
iii) The immune system that has specific targets and memory T-cells <br>
<br>
***** <br>
<br>
That was just the basic, of course. I don't think you'd like to see
the specifics, but if you do want to, you can just google the rest...
of course, it depends on which level, what I've just describe should
be around general level, the teritiary level is far more in depth. :)

is pale skin unattractive?
answers1: pale skin is fine. work with what you got.
answers2: People who tan too much are horribly unattractive, and will
age quickly due to sun damage.
answers3: Pale skin is ok. I think porcelain skin is pretty desirable
actually...especially if it's smooth and clear.
answers4: No pale skin can be really beautiful! :)
answers5: you sound just like me! no i get compliments all the time!
and i'll let you in on a secret, being pale used to be thought of as
extremely beautiful because that meant your didn't have to work out in
the field and got to stay inside out of the sun because you were rich.
answers6: My skin is really pale and I prefer it that way. You don't
age as much or as quickly if you don't tan, pale will pay off in the
long run. If you want a light glow I'd use something like a lotion, I
use Jergens in the summertime to make me appear a bit more warm. You
could also use a pink blush or some golden bronzer.
answers7: Well if you have pale skin rather then a fake tanning bed or
burnt sun tan -- you'll end up having healthier/attractive skin in the
long run [:
answers8: i personally don't like pale skin because as you said it
makes that person look sick. but there are some people who rock the
pale look and they look youthful you sound like one of those people,
you really shouldn't tan it ages skin like yours horribly
answers9: What Kara Jean said. Moderate non-burning exposure will do
nothing more than give you a bit of a glow - it's the overdoing it
that causes problems. Be smart - know your skin type (skintype.ca)
and go to a professional salon that has your interest in mind - yes,
they do exist.
answers10: Sunless tanner. Use a gradual one though so you don't turn
orange. Or if you really want, just spend a few minutes in a tanning
bed, but start out with about 7 minutes so you don't burn. There is
nothing wrong with a suntan, just don't overdo it and don't burn.

how can i lighten my skin tone ?
answers1: good quality (and safe) skin lighteners is the answer to
lighten skin tone back to your original skin color.
answers2: there are many whitening products (from japan?) you can try those
answers3: just stay out of the sun
answers4: OMG...I simply love, love, love the Mexican tan.........It
can look sexy and cool, depending on the time and the mood. <br>
<br>
Keep it!
answers5: call michael jackson.
answers6: im not sure if it would work since ive never tried it, but
SALON SAJJCOL has a whitening treatment, it is $55.00
answers7: If your skin is naturally light, you don't need a skin
lightening cream to maintain it. It's in your DNA. Yes, you may darken
somewhat through the years due to the sun, possible medications and
maybe aging, but if you are light, you really don't have to worry
about your skin going to the other end of the spectrum. I'm light, and
I wouldn't think of using a skin lightener. When I tan, I become a
beautiful golden brown so I like it. And when it fades, I get a little
pale, and I warm it up with a little more makeup. Embrace your skin,
no matter what hue it happens to be.

How can you have glowing skin?
answers1: Eat lots of fruit and veg - blueberries, tomatos and grapes
are all particularly full of 'anti-oxidants' which help your body get
free of toxins and give you a healthy complexion. Drink lots, but
drinking more water than your normal 8 glasses per day won't make much
difference. Also, try to do 30 mins of exercise per day. I always have
a healthy glow after that. Finally, cleanse, tone and moisturise every
night. Simple really =)
answers2: Stimulate your skin. More gently on the face. Rub briskly
with a turkish towel or pat your skin kind of fast, whatever it takes
to get the blood flowing as that is what creates the glow.
answers3: Drink plenty of water and exfoliate. Don't exfoliate too
much at this can cause skin to look dull. It is best to exfoliate two
to three times a week depending on your skin and what feels right to
you. Water is purely for hydration, obviously. <br>
Also if your talking about after makeup and stuff, try buying an
illuminator/highlighter. I personally love the one by Stila. But
sometimes you just have to experiment to find the right one for you.
Don't apply it all over your face or you will just look oily. <br>
So to start off, apply your foundation/tinted moisturizer. Apply a
bronzer to cheeks, temples and jaw line in a 3 motion. BLEND very
well. Then apply the highlighter to the top of cheeks, bridge of nose,
cupids bow (the v above top lip) and center of chin.
answers4: Rub uranium on your skin every night.
answers5: Moisturize and exfoliate every two/three months or every
month (this removes dead skin, but don't do it daily, this speeds up
the renewal of skin and after a while, your skin will stop doing it).
<br>
<br>
You can use a highlighter or High Beam from Benefit, too if you want.
A highlighter is used to give your skin a glow and is generally
applied above or on the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, and below
eyebrow. A white or pastel pink/beige eyeshadow/powder/etc. is used
as a highlighter by the way. High Beam is I think a (clear) liquid
and gives you a glow, although this is fairly expensive, around $21.

suggestions that help your skin glow more: <br>

http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Get-Rid-of-Brown-Spots-On-Your-Face
answers7: I use a cute little mitten called the Baiden Mitten. It's
AMAZING!!! <br>
<br>
I have NEVER seen so much skin come off me before and trust me, I've
used anything and everything prior to exfoliate. The skin comes off in
roles! If you ever thought you were clean, think again. <br>
<br>
<br>
I use this mitten on my face and all over my body. I have now small
pores, hydrated, silky smooth skin. And yes, it kinda glows too! I
LOOOVE this mitten! <br>
<br>
If you think about it, all the procedures which result in major
changes in appearance are far from gentle eg. microdermabrasion,
chemical peel, botox, laser resurfacing and so on. <br>
So why would you expect your skin to react to creams gently being
spread over the face. <br>
<br>
With the baiden mitten, the rougher scrub makes it a priority for the
body to heal, so therefore it will end up being stronger, smoother and
more beautiful after the scrub. <br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
I found my mitten at http://www.perfectmodelskin.com <br>
<br>
Its a cheap product which I only buy once every 2-3 years. <br>
<br>

Good luck :)))

How to Clean Makeup Brushes?
answers1: rinse them in warm water with some mild soap (try something
like Simple), then leave them in a warm place to dry completely. You
don't have to do this every time you use the brushes, but every few
days would be good. You can also find cleaning solutions from your
local chemist or beauty store which is specially designed to clean
make-up brushes. You do not have to buy expensive ones for this to
work, they are all pretty much the same stuff! Hope this helps :)
answers2: Many of your higher end cosmetics have a makeup brush cleanser. <br>
<br>
Mac, Bobby Brown, Trish Mcvoy <br>
<br>
or use a mild ph balanced shampoo & conditioner. Store in a clean
enclosed place afterwards( a zip lock bag works fine). Make sure to
clean your brushes often.
answers3: Makeup brushes can harbor lots of dirt and bacteria, but
frequent washing of your makeup brushes can keep them - and your face
- clean and healthy. <br>

answers4: There's 2 types of makeup brush cleaning. <br>
Spot cleaning- Removes a majority of the makeup off the brush- easy
to do and quick ideal for quick cleans to reuse the brush. I would
spot clean after each brush use then deep clean once a week check
youtube there is a lot of different techniques but I do it this way:

answers5: Chances are high that you already own all you need to clean
your makeup brushes.
answers6: You can get brush cleaners, MAC sells one, but I use baby
shampoo lol, I was the brush (don't wet the handle) in warm water put
the shampoo into the palm of my hand and rub the brush into it, keep
doing that in circular movements, then put it under the tap and wash
away all the makeup and shampoo, do this until the brush is clean,
after that lie the brushes flat to dry, shape the front of the brush
before u let them dry. With powder brushes you need to be gentle or it
messes up the bristles.
answers7: You can get a makeup brush cleanser or make your own
following recipes on youtube. <br>
<br>
You need to do a quick clean after every use and a thorough deep clean
once a week to keep your brushes in top shape and lasting long as well
as making sure bacteria doesnt grow or the brushes dont hold gunk that
will clog your pores/cause breakouts.
answers8: you can use toner to clean it ,i alway do like that.

Washing your hair questions?
answers1: No. the only way it would get shorter is if you cut it.... <br>
<br>
No it won't stop hair growth. Hair is dead on the outside, but on the
inside of your scalp, it is still growing. That's why you don't feel
any pain when hair is cut. <br>
<br>
Where do you hear these things?! Most absurd things I've ever heard...
answers2: Washing your hair does not make it shorter..nor does not
washing it. <br>
if you don't wash it, then its just all oily and gross. <br>
<br>
sooo you should WASH your hair hon.
answers3: Neither of these are true. <br>
Overwashing your hair can take some nutrients out of it and be worse
in the long run. I, however, wash my hair pretty much every night and
have really healthy hair. Sometimes, though, it's good to leave your
hair unwashed for a day or two so it can soak up some nutrients, just
like it's healthy to lay off of makeup for a day or two once in a
while, if you wear it. <br>
You're hair is always growing, unless you're one of those people who
have a certain length your hair won't go past. That isn't affected by
washing your hair. In fact, people's hair continues to grow for a
little bit after death.
answers4: washing ur hair should be done very 2-4 days. NOT everyday.
it can shorten ur hair if u straighten it often and if u brush it or
blow dry it too much. and nothing stops hair growth. hair growth just
appears to be stopped when there is breakage. it all depends what kind
of hair u have that determines how long u should wait to wash ur hair.
answers5: No what are you talking about? <br>
how could it make it shorter!? <br>
and it helps it grow.
answers6: ive never heard that before ... your hair will grow no
matter what .. unless ur old then no promissez.. the only way to make
it short is to cut it .. curl it or put it up to make it it appears
shorter .. age is the only thing that i can think of that makes ur
have short hair ..and if u have canser then u just go bald .. <br>
<br>
<br>
and die
answers7: no it doesnt make it shorter, <br>
it gets longer by itself <br>
and if you dont wash it, it still grows . <br>
x
answers8: And who told you that?
answers9: That's gross. Wash your hair, now!
answers10: no, washing your hair does not make your hair shorter and
no washing your hair does not stop hair growth.. it just makes your
hair unhealthy

Do Wii Remote Accessories have their own functional buttons?
answers1: That's a great idea. Right now it could be possible- the
only things that work with separate buttons are the guitars for guitar
hero- so your not far off by thinking the gloves could do that too.
On another note- all the other Accessories just have the buttons from
the Wii mote sticking out so your still using the actual Wii mote to
play ;)

Red Dress Accessories Suggestion?
answers1: Keep all the accessories black except the clutch. Get a
silver clutch. I would get a choker or short necklace depending on the
cut of the dress and style. Keep it black like I said before. Also
ditch the bracelets. Don't do rubber. It would look bad.

Sims 2 how to download accessories?
answers1: Read the descriptions of the downloads to see what Custom
Content is used and what is available on the Sim when you download it.
It could be that you're missing a mesh that goes along with the
accessories in which case you would have to go to the website the
accessories are from and download the mesh as well as the actual item
from that site.

Which program should i go for? fashion business? fashion management? or fashion design?
answers1: I tihnk it depends on what you already know. I mean you
already know how to draw, and how to be a designer right? So you
wouldn't need to choose the fashion design program if you already have
that knowledge, so you'd pick one where you have the least knowledge
of... <br>
<br>
If you don't have any knowledge of any of it, then I suggest you go
into fashion design (I'm just picking randomly)

Why is DANCE under the Arts and Humanities section and not Sports on here?
answers1: It's more like a physical art. the aesthetic and artistic
values are brought together in your movements when your body moves.
Usually it relates to a theme, emotions, expressions, concept, ideas
and creativity. One of the examples, ballet. <br>
<br>
Sports are generally focusing on the implications and beneficial
movements to improve <br>
our health and well being and of course as an advantage to our bones,
organs and providing <br>
more oxygens for the blood cells. <br>
<br>
Yoga, for example is considered as a aesthetic exercise, because it
was brought by the philosophy of Buddhism practitioners and are used
to relax your muscles and also increases your inner energy, it
completely separates you from 'reality' to let your senses and
consciousness flows on the other 'realm'. By that it stimulates your
nerves and relaxes you while you're awake. <br>
<br>
Swimming or other exterior sports which requires you to use your whole
physique is absolutely <br>
not spiritual. They're just sports. <br>
<br>
Well, it's up to you to judge ;)
answers2: Dance is like a language (humanities) physically translated
& when properly executed is a work of art. Not all see eye to eye "
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" <br>
<br>
Didn't wide world of sports with Howard Cosel have a dance league?
answers3: There are other art forms that require physical strength and
dexterity. Why would you want to down grade dance to simple sport?
Sports are activities done primarily for fun, as recreation. Where
dance and other art forms are a means of self expression. <br>
<br>
I have often wondered why figure skating and ice dancing are
categorized as sport. Certainly, there are sports played on skates,
hockey and curling. But figure skating and ice dancing get into the
artistic arena due to their expressive elements. <br>
<br>
Dance raises simple physical activity to a higher plain. Dance evolves
movement to a form of communication, of expression. It gives to
movement substance and meaning that simple sport does not. If dance
did not do this, dance would be evaluated by the number of spins you
could perform in a row without falling over or how high you could leap
in the air. Simple raw statistics just like long jumping, high jumping
and sprinting. Is this all you aspire to in dance? <br>
<br>
Seems to me you are arguing for a B+ after having received an A.
answers4: Just like music, dance is an art, not a sport. While both
recommend great skill, dance has never really been about competing
rather a creativity and expression using the body. Whether it's
brought out on canvas, through instrument, on stone or the body, etc.
it's all about creativity, imagination, and skill. <br>
<br>
I understand how you see dance as a sport since it's very
physical, but as a dancer don't you feel that you are creating? <br>
This question is very interesting............ <br>
<br>
good luck....js
answers5: I think a better question would be "why do all activities
require a declared winner and a loser in order to make sense to the
masses?". It seems to me that unless there is a trophy involved
nobody understands the point. <br>
<br>
I don't think anyone denies the athleticism required to dance well. It
has been observed many times by pro athletes that, in fact, quality
dancing requires a superior athleticism to their own. Yet dancers
continue to strive for a higher ideal despite the lack of any
championship title. I believe this dynamic places the artform of
dance on a higher plane than that of your typical sporting activity.
If dance were considered a sport, everyone would be doing it and their
dads would be coaching them in Little League. <br>
<br>
There actually is a competition culture in dance. I have observed how
the growing popularity of these competitions has cheapened the art
form. Thousands of schools across the country spend entire seasons
preparing their students for these competitions while forgetting to
teach their students how to cultivate their technique. Most of the
worlds finest dancers have never entered a competition in their lives.
Furthermore, dancers who are focused on entering and winning
competitions tend not to gain the appropriate skills necessary to
achieve greatness in the art of dance. <br>
<br>
I think the world has enough sports. Let's keep dance where it belongs
in the Arts and Humanities category.
answers6: if you are talking about break-dancing then maybe yes. <br>
as for the actual act of dancing involves,emotions feelings
togetherness some sensitivity & a sense of belonging. <br>
if you can calculate the things i mentioned as a sport then what is
dancing? no offense intended.
answers7: I'm a ballerina, and I don't think it's a sport. Sports have
competition (Like cheerleading, which I also do.) and dance definitely
does not have competition unless you're in tournaments. But there's
more dancers in studio than in tournaments, so it's controversial.
Personally, I think it's more of an art form.
answers8: because of the fact dancing is an artwork and not a
interest. It unquestionably takes physicality, yet singers are actual
too (opera singers sweat plenty...), and no person is begging for
singing to be a interest.
answers9: well dance is considered a sport but it is more of an art.
this is because the arts all involve expressing yourself. with dance
you express yourself alot with all the types of dance & movement. but
in many cases it is also considered a sport. good luck with
dancing!!(=
answers10: For something to be classified as a sport doesn't simply
require physical activity. Competitive dance might very well deserve
to be a sub-category of sports, however, dance is very much an art
form and is rightly placed under arts and humanities. There can be a
lot of physical work in acting as well, or sculpting for that matter,
yet they are still considered art forms. Primarily dance is about
expression (unless it is the aforementioned competitive side) like any
art form, while sports are about winning.

Good humanities courses?
answers1: If you want to go to Med school why are you bothering about
humanities? They should be fluff classes for you
answers2: Since you can take more than one humanities class you can
take one in Lit and Languages as well as Ethics and Logic. I also
recommend History because I'm sure you can find a subject that'll
interest you and it can only help you become more well rounded.

What is the difference between psychology and humanities?
answers1: Psychology deals with mental behavior in general. Humanity
deals with human behavior, tendency, mood, emotion, etc. Mental
behavior can be strengthened or energized by individual effort,
whereas human behavior concerns with social aspects and mutual
development.
answers2: I agree with the above mostly. However, humanities also
includes languages, even English, and philosophy. <br>
<br>
Yes psychology deals with mental events but there are many different
types of belief systems in psychology for doing so, and one of them is
modelled after humanities and is called humanism. So the two areas are
not totally separate. Humanism is people centred thinking and
feeling, or understanding things fromt the clients point of being.
<br>
<br>
Have a good day! Ciao!
answers3: Humanities is a term for a broad group of subjects within
social sciences. Psychology is one of those.

Why do people pay for art?
answers1: Clearly we value creativity. <br>
<br>
Art is an expression of human creativity. <br>
<br>
Art is a labor of the human condition for the artist, so if labor has
value, and the creation translates that labor effectively, then we say
"this is talent, let us compensate it that the talent might render
more art!"
answers2: It's a labor of love.. It is passionately created..
Unfortunately, some people pay for art to hang them on the wall and be
admired for something they are able to "acquire". Art is expensive and
paying for an expensive art is a social status.
answers3: maybe because its one up on someone can show how much money
is in our pocket? what do we base art on anyway it goes from amzin
works to abstract splashes of paint. its all what we hold in our hand
at the moment that makes it valuable to buy maybe its a artist that a
long lost loved one admired and we buy it for that reason. and its all
perceptive what we human minds find talented and strickin in beauty we
reason even is that somethin we could recreate or no thats out of this
world one of a kind that human instinct of got to have it
answers4: Some people like art. <br>
<br>
There's nothing really more to it than that. They see something that's
art, get inspired, want to buy it and put it in their house because it
inspires them or makes them happy....
answers5: It's unique, it's creative, it's expressive. <br>
<br>
We are given basic art education, but this is not why art exists or
has value. Cavemen created art for their own enjoyment, creativity
and expression. TBH it was probably some caveman looking to pick up
chicks, he says "come back to my cave and check out my mammoth". It
was only later that as economies and art developed that selling it as
a product or commodity came about.
answers6: I see no point in buying it either..I rather just look at
that piece of art and admire it.Not buy.. <br>
Some just want it,because they are inspired and they just have to have it. <br>
<br>
Like people who buy so so many clothes when they don't wear all of them.. <br>
what's the point in that... <br>
<br>
People will pay for things just because they feel like it.. Art is
everywhere will people buy everything in this world when they can't...
hmm
answers7: An important property of art is its ability to influence
emotions. It is more obvious in some forms of art than in others
(think music versus paintings). If something tugs at your
heartstrings, you'll be more inclined to pay for it, and this applies
not only to art, but also to more mundane products. How do you think
the advertising industry got so big? <br>
<br>
Another factor I'm more acquainted with is people's amazement at
somebody's skill or at the beauty of one's work. They just like pretty
or well-made stuff, and want to possess it, and they understand the
concept of scarcity well enough to be willing to pay big money for it.
I've experienced this firsthand. I'm fairly good at drawing, see, and
I keep getting people fawning over the lousiest of my drawings. I can
totally see them paying for it one day, were I a tad more talented and
a lot less sloppy about my "art".
answers8: They pay for the chance to see life through anothers eyes

what are the pros and cons of art?
answers1: I can't really think of any cons of art. Save perhaps the
bad artist that neglects his family, health, friends, job so that he
can do art. <br>
<br>
A 2nd con of art may be that it can be inflamatory if the art is
politically or religiously driven (although this will count as a pro
too) <br>
<br>
The pros of art are <br>
<br>
Promote thought <br>
Entertainment <br>
Increase the appeal of a living space
answers2: Your question is very vague. Do you want the pros and cons
of a career in art or the pros and cons of art itself. As a career,
art can be invigorating and draw on the artist's inspiration that
comes from any and all areas of life. The down side is that as a
career, art can be terribly disappointing if the artist is unable to
devote enough time to build up a good supply of artwork and be able to
sell it and earn a living. For the viewer, the pros of art are that
it brings out the best work of so many people in many different forms
and mediums. The down side is that you have to look at a lot of
mundane work or worse before you find the one jewel that lights up the
whole room. But, that one piece can be such a treasure that it makes
the search for it all the sweeter.
answers3: pros-that is gives endless possibilities to creativity <br>
<br>
cons-that it has no cons
answers4: art? I dont know many cons of art? Maybe the fact that it is
so subjective can be considered a can <br>
<br>
Pros of art are: self expression, communication through another
medium, therapeutic abilities
answers5: You can either make it or break it in art.

find the art, I google in site that show the art, like Amazon. When I
find the certain art, I click "copy." Then I go back to "Get Album.."
It shows "Multiple Item Information." On the right side is a slot for
"Artwork." With my mouse in the middle of the area, I paste the
picture from the site. Then I click "ok," and the album cover is now
included in iTunes.

Early Chinese Civilization?
answers1: Since the Chinese government controlled visual arts and
literature alot of things were removed from China illegally and still
havent be found today. This stuff is really important to discovering
facts about early civilization since China was the Earliest
civilization to exist.
answers2: I recently watched a program on antiques which was talking
about the famous blue and white porcelain. The expert mentioned that
the Chinese emporers dictated to the artisans about the designs that
they painted on the various pieces and the pieces would have the
emporer's personal symbol of a dragon etc. He then went on to comment
that later in Chinese history there is evidence that the artists
started to use their own designs without conforming to the emporer's
wishes.

What do you think about my visual arts project?
answers1: phat, sister, phat :)

it's pretty cool.

Do you need a Bachelors in Fine or Visual Arts to be an artist?
answers1: A lot of art shows support legendary people with no formal
art training. "art training" is screaming, I want to be paid for my
art. <br>
<br>
A true artist, draws for inspiration and fun. <br>
<br>
Unfortunately False artists with Bachelors in either fine or visual,
are normally rejected. For their art is for money... <br>
<br>
I have seen great artists who draw for people at no charge. <br>
<br>
Work for a cause! Not Applause! <br>
Work to express, Not Impress <br>
Don't work to make your presence noticed, but your absence felt
answers2: No, you don't need any formal training. To be an artist you
just have to love what you do and if people don't understand your
work then that's their problem. <br>
Mostly people are discovered by other powerful people in the art world
by a stroke of luck; that's how popularity rolls with most things.

Inuyasha Final Act English Dubbed Version!!!!!!!?
answers1: properly from my information there is yet its all new voice
actors and its completed by a business employer observed as "Animax"
even however that's kinda poorly dun. yet from what I even have seen
that's dubbed was hoping this helped
answers2: try <a href="http://www.hulu.com/inuyasha-the-final-act"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.hulu.com/inuyasha-the-final-a...</a>
^.<
answers3: Enough with the exclamation points. <br>
<br>
There is no dub yet. It just premiered in Japan last fall and the last
episode aired in March. They are still in the process of recording.
<br>
<br>
There's also no scheduled date for the dub to air yet. Adult Swim has
not announced anything. The only time I've seen a date mentioned has
been complete speculation based on the fact that they moved up the
reruns to an earlier time slot on Saturdays. AS has missed several
chances to make a big announcement like this, so I'm inclined to think
they aren't far enough along in recording the dub to set a firm date.
The English voice actor for Inuyasha only just confirmed on Aug 18th
that he's in the studio and recording, but wasn't specific about how
long he had been working on it.

Porno - acting or performing?
answers1: Because porn serves one purpose and form of entertainment.
answers2: "performing" in a porn film is NOT acting. It's f$#@ing. <br>
On the other hand, SIMULATING a love scene/act and having it be
convincing is real acting!

ACT or SAT testing? Which iz easier?
answers1: it really depends on your strengths and weaknesses. I'm
under the impression that the ACT is more knowledge based while the
SAT is more logic based. I think that depending on what you are good
at either could be "easier."
answers2: yea, the act is easier than the sat
answers3: i thought the ACT was easier. on the SAT, you are penalized
by a 1/4 point for each wrong answer, but they don't do that on the
ACT
answers4: SAT is easier, the ACT is more important now compared to the
sat, no matter whree you live. some people think the sat is harder
others think the ACT is harder, but the ACT is more important
answers5: It really depends a lot on the individual. <br>
<br>
The SAT doesn't test as much content, but it's a longer test and the
reasoning required is more advanced. (Don't make a decision based on
that fact that there is a wrong answer penalty - that doesn't affect
the relative difficulty.) <br>
<br>
The ACT is a little shorter and much more straightforward, but it
tests more content (more grammar rules, more advanced math topics, and
a science comprehension section), doesn't give any math formulas, and
gives you less time per problem. The ACT has an optional essay, and
you're given a little longer to write the essay (30 minutes vs 25), so
that's something to consider as well. <br>
<br>
I would recommend that in the very near future you take a practice
test of each and decide which one you're more comfortable with. <br>
<br>
Good luck!
answers6: Well personally for me, the ACT was much easier. Even
without prep, I got a score of 32/36. ACT is still not as well known,
but to almost all colleges, ACT= SAT. There is no difference between
the two tests. Also, the science portion for ACT barely requires you
to have any knowledge of sciences. Most of it is showing you a lab and
their results, and they ask you questions on it. (It's basically like
reading comprehension but with science.) Yes, the math does involve
trig, so it's best if you finish pre-calc first. And the grammar and
reading comprehension is much easier for the ACT. Also, for the ACT
you don't get penalized for answering a question wrong. Rather, you
gain points for every question you answer correctly. And the essay is
optional (though i do recommend writing one since most colleges
require it.) So I would suggest you take the ACT. but there is no harm
in taking both the SAT and the ACT! I think you should take a practice
SAT and ACT test. and see which one you do better in before you make a
decision! :)

act addresses two key areas of anti-competitive behaviour: <br>
<br>
Anti-competitive agreements <br>
Abuse of dominant market position <br>
<br>
The Act was partly introduced as a result of continued allegations of

The Act will be enforced by the Director General of Fair Trading,

Can you answer these question about William Shakespeare's Globe Theater?
answers1: The Rose Theatre (1587), the Hope Theatre (1613), and the
Globe Theatre (1599) were the first "open-air" theaters in London and
they were built in an, at the time, open area outside of London along
the banks of the Thames River. The exact location is called Bankside
in Southwark, which is now officially part of London. <br>
<br>
Here's a map to the exact spot: <a href="http://goo.gl/maps/HZ6b4"

the Holywell Priory and then dismantled and moved to Bankside whilst
the hire became up. The Globe burned down whilst a canon result went
incorrect for the period of a overall performance of Henry VIII in
1613. the favourite development based by skill of Sam Wanamaker isn't

because of the fact the wood 'O' in the prologue to Henry V The
Puritans ended the Globe Theatre which became rebuilt after the fire
of 1613 and ordered it to be demolished in 1644.

Theatre/Therapy?
answers1: Theatres? As in theatre companies? No. Augusto Boal's
Rainbow of Desire work if highly performative and borders on
dramatherapy, but is process-based and doesn't, I believe, seek
performance as a goal. <br>
<br>
To my knowledge, dramatherapy is used mainly by private practitioners,
or therapists working at social service agencies, schools, or other
service institutions. <br>
<br>
NYU has a great dramatherapy program--you might start there if you're
looking for resources.
answers2: This is a paradox....In therapy the goal is to be realistic
which is the exact opposite of theatre which is to be in a fantasy.

Bloherfelder street. Then in 2000 the move took place in the jazz club
Alluvium in Zeughausstrasse where he(it) took place till the end of
March, 2003 regularly. Since the extract of the Alluviums from
his(its) old remove the Poetry Slam has no more firm(fixed) homeland.
In October, 2003 the Poetry Slam last up to now took place in the
Indieclub metro in the long street. Next year it should go on at a new
place. For 2004 the continuation regular Slams and readings as well as
an anthology is planned to the five-year-old anniversary of the Poetry
Slams. <br>
With the Poetry Slam there appeared in the course of the time a lot of
contacts with writer, organizers, musicians, DJs and other artists. So
it came to various projects with other creative, Slammer have denied
with musicians together concerts, have appeared on parties and have
made themselves altogether in the public more visible. With it an
important aim of the Poetry Slams is designated: literature should be
made accessible to the people(persons), also the people(persons) who
take charge perhaps rather rarely of a book. That's way the Slam
Poetry searches the nearness to the youth, music and club culture. The
Slamszene remains alive with it and is subjected therefore also to
trends and developments. In the course of bigger interest in live
reported literature similar event formats have appeared which
orientate themselves by the trend of the a little bit other reading.
Now and then the Slam has helped even the established advanced
civilization to some swing, because also established authors have it
now more difficultly to hold on with their(her) readings only in
their(her) glass (if they did it then earlier, would be marked here
for sportsmanship reasons). <br>
<br>
In 2001 a row with readings from Oldenburger Slamumfeld appeared under
the name poetry evening. The idea of the poetry evening was the
continuation of the Slamkonzeptes towards of a longer reading from the
subcultural context. How already at the top described, it was
transferred so to some Slamkonzept to other events. However, besides,
the subcultural content on the distance remained quite often. To fill
this gap, the reading row „Poesieabend " appeared. Other information
to this event is to be thought under www.poesie-abend.de. <br>
<br>
The Oldenburger Poetryszene has done a good name to itself within
Germany. This happened, on the one hand, by guest's scenes from
Slammern completely Germany in Oldenburg. Intense contacts with other
Slamveranstaltern and guest's scenes of Oldenburger Slamautoren on
German Slambühnen are decisive furthermore for the good reputation of
Oldenburg in the German Slamszene. <br>

answers3: Oldenburger Slam Poetry <br>
<br>
Poetry Slam is first a presentation form for literature, at a publicly
accessible place authors with their(her) selfwritten texts line up in
a contest mutually. Besides, the stage is open for all people(persons)
who want to introduce themselves with a selfwritten text to a public.
The idea of the contest appeared for the wish to make accessible the
texts to the public by an appropriate presentation. <br>
<br>
The contest takes place according to rules, in Oldenburg the authors
have eight-minute time in which they report their(her) texts and are
valued afterwards by five people(persons) from the public on a marks
scale from 0-10. During the lecture no aids approximately like
costumes are allowed. With a high number of subscribers in the contest
three Bestplatzierten at the end still deliver a final. There the
lecture time amounts to five minutes. At the end the whole public
decides by applause who becomes a winner in this evening. From the
Poetry Slam as a stage for young and self-willed authors own
literature form has also appeared gradually. With it texts are
believed which were written explicitly for the stage and the contest.
Under the notion „Slam Poetry " no fixable type is nevertheless found,
here is to be thought from the conventional short story up to
avangardistischen Dada's poem everything what can be presented in
short time on the stage. <br>

What are the definitions of analytic philosophy and continental philosophy?
answers1: Analytic philosophy is focused on organized logic more than
anything and continental philosophy is more like your own feelings and
beliefs that doesn't have to be logical or taught.
answers2: Continental philosophy, in contemporary usage, refers to a
set of traditions of 19th and 20th century philosophy from mainland
Europe.[1] This sense of the term originated among English-speaking
philosophers in the second half of the 20th century, who found it
useful for referring to a range of thinkers and traditions outside the
analytic movement. Continental philosophy includes the following
movements: German idealism, phenomenology, existentialism (and its
antecedents, such as the thought of Kierkegaard and Nietzsche),
hermeneutics, structuralism, post-structuralism, French feminism, and
the critical theory of the Frankfurt School and some other branches of
western Marxism.[2] <br>
<br>
Analytic philosophy (sometimes, analytical philosophy) is a generic
term for a style of philosophy that came to dominate English-speaking
countries in the 20th century. In the United States, United Kingdom,
Canada, Scandinavia, Australia, and New Zealand the overwhelming
majority of university philosophy departments identify themselves as
"analytic" departments.[1] <br>
<br>
The term "analytic philosophy" can refer to <br>
<br>
(a) A method of doing philosophy [2][3] characterised by an emphasis
on clarity and argument, often achieved via modern formal logic and
analysis of language, and a respect for the natural sciences.[4][5]
<br>
<br>
(b) Certain developments in early twentieth century philosophy, such
as the work of Bertrand Russell and Gottlob Frege, and logical
positivism. In this sense, analytic philosophy makes specific
philosophical commitments, not all of which are shared by contemporary
analytic philosophy, in particular:[6] <br>
<br>
The positivist view that there are no specifically philosophical
truths and that the object of philosophy is the logical clarification
of thoughts. (This may be contrasted with the traditional
foundationalism, deriving from Aristotle, that views philosophy as a
special sort of science, the highest one, which investigates the
fundamental reasons and principles of everything.[7] As a result, many
analytic philosophers have considered their inquiries as continuous
with, or subordinate to, those of the natural sciences.[8]) <br>
The view that the logical clarification of thoughts can only be
achieved by analysis of the logical form of philosophical
propositions.[9] (The logical form of a proposition is a way of
representing it (often using the formal grammar and symbolism of a
logical system) to display its similarity with all other propositions
of the same type. However, analytic philosophers disagree widely about
the correct logical form of ordinary language.[10]) <br>
The rejection of sweeping philosophical systems in favour of close
attention to detail,[11] common sense, and ordinary language.[12]
