Why do we value physical beauty so highly?

answers1: Brain. If by brain you mean intelligence, then is clearly
the better choice because beauty is useless, and fades with age, while
intelligence is present forever. Also, intelligence gives you a better
shot at life, and making a difference. If by brain you mean having a
literal brain, then brain is obviously the better choice as you would
be nothing but a pretty corpse by choosing beauty over brain (in that
scenario.)
answers2: we're animals and are hard wired to be attracted to
beautiful things-and they is nothing wrong at all with that
makes life worth living
scientific studies have shown true physical beauty can be identified
by babies - universal - doesn't matter the language - doesn't matter
even if you can speak. research it and check out these studies
people can be conditioned though - by cultural differences - but at
the end of the day - a rose will still be that
physical and inner attractiveness can coexist - and often does
it's the wanna be's that usually think they're all that, and feel the
need to be arrogant to compensate
answers3: It is not human nature to value physical beauty to the
extent that we do today. If it was, then there would be a universal
expectation, for example, no matter where you live in the world, it is
beautiful to be skinny. This is false, though. Many countries find
being heavy extremely attractive.
During the Renaissance, women plucked their hair above their forehead
because it was viewed as beautiful. They also used lead-based make-up.
Physical beauty has been socialized to be an incredibly valuable tool
because it is very beneficial to those that set the standards.
