Interested In Digital Art - Should I take Traditional Art Classes?

Emerita Sciandra: preferably yes. art is more about ideas than skills. traditional art class will teach you about famous artists (their ideas and how they relate to the actual work of art) and practicing yourself will teach you which medium is best for you. you could end up integrating traditional art in your digital art.

Alise Rutgers: If you're interested in it, you'll probably excel in it as well..Why not take a 2-3 year Graphics Design course at a local college...My brother had an interested in this field during high school, so he joined in a 2 year program.. His love of the field helped land him a solid job after he graduated - and he's happy at work....Show more

Lawanna Livsey: I've recently got into digital art myself. Been doing it for about 2-3 months now. Mostly doing photoshop design and also touching up pictures ive taken also with photoshop. I havent taken any traditional art classes before, just did a bit of art in highschool. You can check out ! my flickr page if you want to see what you can do just from learning but yourself plus youtube tutorials for 2-3 months. http://www.flickr.com/photos/39196240@N04/...Show more

Julieta Suleiman: me too :D i've done digital art for 2 moths now and traditional for 9... but... when i started to get the hang of drawing and stuff... digital arts is soo much easier! and i think you don't really need art classes yet. Learn touse photoshop or some other similar program and get a tablet :D start practicing, it'll take a while to learn :D:D
