What is the difference between a 160hp car motor, and a 160hp aircraft motor?

Kaylee Schmittou: Doesn't have anything to do with valve size. That would make 0 scene.First off the air plane engine is air cooled. This link provides excellent facts to answer this question.http://www.planeandpilotmag.com/aircraft/maintenan...

Carlee Tangaro: Aircraft engine are notoriously understressed to make them last longer at maximum revs for hours on end. The valves on an aircraft engine are so small that it is IMPOSSIBLE to over rev them. This also reduces the amount of horsepower they can make.
