Ways to commute to Bolingbrook to Kendall College in the lowest cost?

Branden Round: Pace has a Campus Connection pass ($175 per SEMESTER, pro-rated if purchased during the semester). You can include the cost in student loans or financial aid. You can use for Pace busses only, not the CTA. It is possible to get from Bolingbrook to Kendall College on Pace only, but it will be a very LONG commute. Use your UPass on the CTA instead of buying a transfer. The next cheapest way is to take one of the Pace Bus Routes (855 or 755) that travel on the Stevenson Expressway. The bus rides on the expressway shoulder when the speeds are less than 30 mph. These are Premium Pace routes which cost $4.00 each way. There is no monthly pass. You will need to pay the $2.25 difference if you have the Campus Connection pass.Pace Bus Route 855 starts in Plainfield and ends at Michigan and Superior. You will have to take another bus to get the rest of the way. You can use the UPass in Chicago instead of buying a transfer. You can board at one of the main stops or at ! posted stops along the way. The main stops are: Plainfield Village Center, Romeoville (temporarily on Normantown & Dalhart with parking in designated spaces at Romeoville Library), Bolingbrook Old Chicago (IL-53 and Old Chicago Drive), Bolingbrook Canterbury (Canterbury & Briarcliffe), and Burr Ridge. The Chicago stops are Madison & Wabash and North Michigan Ave & Superior. Get off at Dearborn/Adams then get to Union Station. Either walk there or wal to Adams/Clark and take CTA Bus 126 (Austin) or CTA Bus 7 (Central) to Union Station and exit at Adams/Canal. Take CTA Bus 132 (North/Clyborn Red Line) from Union Station to North Branch/Halsted then walk to the school. Links for the map and schedules are shown below.Pace Bus Route 755 starts in Plainfield and ends at Union Station. There is a stop at the UIC/Medical Center District where you can transfer to the Pink Line "L" or you can take a bus from Union Station. The main stops are Plainfield Village Center, Bolingbrook Old! Chicago, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Rush University Medic! al Center, University of Illinois-Chicago, and Union Station. Get off at Halsted/Harrison and take CTA Bus 8 (Waveland/Broadway) to North Branch/Halsted then walk to the school. Links for the map and schedules are shown below.A quicker, but more expensive option would be to take the Metra train from Lisle. Pace 824, 825, or 834 leave from various spots in Bolingbrook and stop Lisle train station. The Pace fare is $1.75 for the bus (get the Campus Connection card for the semester). Rena Pepe: 755 Pace Bus Schedule

Bennie Lantgen: Can't you buy some sort of car? Because between taking Pace and taking Metra, it's going to cost you anyway and it's going to be extremely hard to be on time. Either find a room to rent or get a running but cheap car. (I think you would have to take a pace bus to the Metra, then take a city bus to school). Look at condo's to rent (with roommates).http://www.pacebus! .com/?ptype=TPhttp://tripsweb.rtachicago.com/goroo/index.htm...Show more
