Boris Hadsall: What a great question

Rosalia Hibler: You can't get a college degree unless you go through a program that offers a degree, or have a degree bestowed upon you in some way. There are online college courses... you don't actually have to leave the house if you don't want to.Generally you get materials wherever books and materials are sold; a lot of college textbooks can be found on Amazon.com...Show more
Hans Sachetti: Didn't you just ask this question 10 hours ago? It's still on the front page here.Anyway, the only way to "homeschool" your way through an entire college degree is to find an online program, but many of them (especially the ones that are ONLY online, i.e. not connected to a brick-and-mortar school in any way) aren't all that reputable. You would be wasting your time and money. If you want to go to college, either go to a regular brick-and-mortar college with a good reputation or make sure you REALLY research yo! ur online options -- including things like accreditation and employers' actual feelings on hiring graduates of the programs that interest you -- before committing yourself to one....Show more
Kenneth Blacker: Many colleges offer online degree programs which you can complete at home. I don't think that college can be "home-schooled" in the traditional sense of the word, where one is independent of any degree-granting institution. MAKE SURE the institution is accredited properly as well or your degree may be worth nothing after you earn it. I personally recommend going into a 4 year program on a campus, as learning advanced topics like calc (and the million math courses that are even higher level that only math majors ever even hear of) can be really tricky without an actual person to help. If you don't like the pace that you are taking, you can always register for more classes... Three or four are normal for a first year student but it is not unheard of for students to! take as much work on as they did in high school and graduate ! in three years. (Use caution as it is a lot harder to motivate yourself to get out of bed in college. Seriously, thats the biggest problem most freshmen have.)...Show more
Wilfred Santacruce: No actually I did not just ask this question. A little rude of you.
Shaunta Paap: A diploma must be given by a recognized school to be useful. You can study at home in certain Independent Study courses, but they must be authorized by a college. You would have to apply for FAFSA for money for books, tuition and materials and they would only give it if you were enrolled in a recognized college.
