how to i get loans to study abroad?

Matt Gerdeman: I studied abroad twice (a year in France, a semester in Germany) and was not able to get any sort of loan. I had to pay for it myself. Since my parents didn't want to pay, I worked 20-30 hours/week the whole time I was in school and sometimes 70-80 hrs/week during breaks to save as much money as possible.
